Personalized Dosimetry in Clinical Trials for Beta-Emitting Radiopharmaceutical Dosimetry

Description

Personalized dosimetry in radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT) is gaining strong interest because fixed-activity regimens often fail to capture the large variability in how patients respond to the treatment. Growing evidence shows clear dose–response relationships: higher tumor absorbed dose correlates with better tumor control, while excessive dose to organs at risk predicts toxicity. Personalized dosimetry might allow clinicians to predict organ toxicity in advance and identify patients who can safely receive dose-escalated therapy to improve tumor control. This session will address the principles for designing clinical trials in RPT and will highlight the current experience from a Phase I and Phase II clinical trial that incorporated prospective dosimetry as part of the treatment
